Varsity Hockey Players of the Month - February

Varsity Girls Defensive Player: Axelle Beaudoin
The goaltender from Laval, Quebec had a solid month, going undefeated in eight starts. She was also a key contributor to the team's championship at the Tournoi International de Quebec U22 in Quebec City. Axelle and goaltending partner Joliane Tremblay have formed an excellent platoon that provides reliable and consistent goaltending for the Spartans. Axelle's precise movements, ability to read the play and mental fortitude resulted in many crucial wins for the Spartans in the various tournaments they attended this past month. Axelle looks to continue her strong play down the final stretch of the season.

Varsity Girls Offensive Player: Rosalie Tremblay
The forward hailing from Sherbrooke, Quebec had an exceptional month of February, tallying 23 points in 16 games. February was significant personally and for the team, as Rosalie was selected to the 2025 JWHL All-Star Game along with seven other teammates, and the team was crowned champions of the Tournoi International de Quebec U22 in Quebec City. Rosalie's elite skillset and hockey sense make her a threat to create offence wherever she is on the ice. Playing on a line with Laurie Aubin and Maxim Tremblay,  the three are counted on to not only score big goals but to play critical minutes when ahead late in games, a major key for the Spartans as they enter the JWHL Playoffs.

Varsity Boys Defensive Player: Logan Foote
The tall, rangy defenceman from Halifax, Nova Scotia had a solid month of February for the Spartans, committing to strong defensive play. Logan has learned to play a physical style of hockey while limiting his penalties. Whenever Logan touches the ice, he is emotionally involved in every situation, leading to high compete, work ethic and sacrifice, all of which are crucial to defensive success.

Varsity Boy Offensive Player: Aaron Chipp
Aaron continues to help push our offensive attack with his quick, accurate shot that leads to beautiful goals. The Halifax, Nova Scotia native has the ability to step up in key situations and is a consistent player off the puck as well, allowing Coach Thompson to play Aaron in all situations. Aaron looks to continue his strong and clutch play as the Spartans travel to Toronto for their CPSHA playoffs in March.
