Hockey @ SC

The hockey tradition at Stanstead College goes back to the very early days of the sport. Today, Stanstead hockey serves as a gateway for young boys and girls looking to improve their skills, academic success and opportunities for playing beyond high school. At Stanstead College, we take hockey seriously.
"I grew and matured as a person at Stanstead College and created lifelong friendships and memories. Stanstead taught me many different values and morals that I will live by for the rest of my life. I encourage anyone who is thinking of attending Stanstead to go!"
- Logan Sawyer, 2023, Providence College; drafted Montreal Canadiens 2024, round 3, #78 overall
Stanstead College hockey is recognized as one of the finest prep school programs in Eastern Canada, with top-notch training and an intensive schedule against highly competitive prep teams in New England and beyond. Over the years, Spartan alumni have gone on to play elite junior and college hockey and attend quality North American universities.

Varsity boys and girls hockey teams at Stanstead College benefit from a two-term schedule that begins in September and finishes in March. Both varsity teams practice 5 times per week with 3-4 off-ice sessions as well throughout the year. Our prep boys and girls teams practice 2-3 times per week in the fall and compete full-time during the winter term ending in March/April. The U18 and U15 teams compete in the winter term and practices 3-4 times per week with 2-3 off-ice sessions.

Our teams are proud to boast wonderful state-of-the-art locker rooms in one of the finest new ice hockey facilities in Canada, the Pat Burns Arena.
